Turf Dad's Story

I work in the golf course maintenance industry. Turf

I have 3 adopted children. Dad
I only mention "adopted" because I will talk about adoption issues.

I am also a husband. This year my wife and I will be celebrating our 25th anniversary.

I used to blog under a different name. A character I played in a b-movie that I was in about 12 years ago. It was fun to be "this character," but I finally decided I just wanted to be myself, and Turf Dad seemed appropriate.

The picture of the I Dream of Jeannie bottle in my profile is the actual bottle my youngest gave me for my birthday this year. I intend to keep it the rest of my life, but if it breaks I'm sure she will give me another one, filled with more of her love.

I like to tell stories about fatherhood and my life. I like to think these stories are somewhat entertaining or that a reader may be able to relate to one of them. If you comment on one of my stories I will usually try to respond or least visit your blog. It is a good way to meet other bloggers, and I like doing that too.

I don't have any aspirations about this blog making me money or anything like that, so posts will be whenever I get the chance to do them. A turf dad's life is a busy one, and blogging doesn't pay the bills.
Thanks for stopping by.

The Shiny Blue Bottle

My 9-year-old daughter gave me a bottle for my birthday. She told me the shiny blue bottle was filled with her love. I'm not sure I'll ever get a better gift.
